SEO consultant for Google, Maps and AI search

Be the business they find first.

I'm an SEO and AI search consultant with over 12 years of experience. I help businesses get found on Google, Maps and AI search.

When someone needs what you sell, they search Google, check the map, or ask AI. The businesses they find are the ones they consider. If that's not you, there's a good chance they're finding a competitor instead.

I work out what's stopping your business being found, and give you a clear plan to fix it.

Search isn't one place anymore.

Short answer: your customers now search in three places - Google, Maps and AI tools - and most businesses are only set up for one of them.

Search isn't sexy. Nobody gets excited about it the way they do about ads or social media. But it's how most of your customers actually find you, and because most businesses undervalue it, it's where the easiest wins are.

People still search Google. They also search Maps, ask ChatGPT and Perplexity for recommendations, and Google now answers many questions before anyone clicks a website.

Each of these works differently. But they all need the same things from you: to understand what your business does, who you help, where you operate, and why you're credible. If they can't work that out from your website and what's said about you online, they won't show you.

The tricks that used to work don't work on any of this. Clear, useful content from a genuinely good business does. If you're good at what you do, that's good news.

The work isn't the hard part. Knowing which work matters is.

The doing is easy. The knowing WHAT TO DO is hard.

Most SEO work is writing content and making changes to your website. Your team, your developer, or AI tools can do a lot of that.

What they can't tell you is what your site actually needs, in what order, and what's a waste of time. That's the strategy. That's what you pay me for.

A small list of the right work beats a long list of guesswork.

I don't optimise for rankings. I optimise for the business.

Short answer: I'm an SEO and AI search consultant with over 12 years experience. No retainer you can't explain. You'll always know what I did and whether it worked. My job is to get you the strategy, see the rankings move, then hand the ongoing work back to you or your team wherever that makes sense.

I'm a marketer who specialises in getting businesses found. SEO is how I do it. The part I love is the build: working out what your site needs, putting the strategy together, and watching the results come in. I care about what happens after someone finds you. Traffic is pointless if they don't choose you.

I don't want you paying for work you don't need. If your team or your developer can handle the doing once the strategy is clear, I'll push that. If you can do it yourself, I'll tell you. You get the strategy, the work gets done, and we check whether it worked. If something isn't worth doing, I'll say so.

Two ways to work with me.

Short answer: an audit and a step-by-step plan your team can run, or the same work done with you. Prices up front.

Audit + Strategy

I audit how you show up in Google search, Google Maps and AI tools, and find what's blocking you. You get a step-by-step plan: what to do, when to do it, written so your developer or your team can follow it without asking me anything. Then monthly check-ins. I report on what's working and adjust the plan.

From $2,000. Price depends on the size of your site.

Questions people ask.

Short answer to most of these: clear content, a credible reputation, and a plan in the right order. The longer answers are below.

Why isn't my business showing up on Google?

Usually one of three reasons: Google can't read your site properly, your site doesn't clearly say what you do and where you do it, or your competitors have stronger content and a stronger reputation for the same searches. Often it's a mix. An audit tells you which ones apply to you and what to fix first.

Can AI do my SEO?

AI can do a lot of the work: draft content, make technical changes, do research. What it can't reliably tell you is what your business specifically needs, what order to do it in, and what's a waste of your time. Generic AI advice produces generic results. The execution is getting cheaper and easier. Knowing what to do is what you pay for.

Do I actually need an SEO consultant?

Maybe not. If you already have someone who understands SEO and can work out what your business needs, you probably don't. If you're getting conflicting advice, don't know where to start, or you're spending money without knowing what's working. That's where I come in.

How do I get recommended by ChatGPT?

AI tools need enough reliable information to understand what your business does, who it's for, where you operate and why you're credible. That means clear pages on your website, structured data so machines can parse it, and mentions of your business on other credible sites. It's the same substance Google rewards. AI just reads more of it.

Can you help me show up in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

Yes. AI tools pull from the same signals Google does, plus a few of their own. It's part of every audit. More on the AI SEO page.

Why do my competitors rank above me?

Because right now, Google and AI understand and trust their business more than yours. Usually that comes down to clearer content, better reviews, more mentions on other sites, or a better-structured website. The audit shows you the exact gap. The strategy closes it.

What about backlinks?

Mentions of your business on other credible sites still matter, to Google and even more to AI tools, which read them to verify you're real and good. What doesn't work anymore is buying junk links. Every strategy includes a plan for earning real mentions: local press, industry directories, reviews, write-ups. If you want me to run that outreach for you, digital PR is an add-on, from $3,000 per campaign.

Do I need ongoing SEO?

You need ongoing attention, not necessarily ongoing spend. Most businesses need a proper round of work up front, then smaller adjustments as results come in. Monthly check-ins are $500 a month and you can stop whenever you like.

How much does SEO cost?

Audit + Strategy starts at $2,000. The price depends on the size of your site, not the size of your business. Done With You starts at $2,000 a month. Full breakdown on the pricing page.

How long does SEO take?

Expect the first movement in 4 to 12 weeks, and meaningful results in 3 to 6 months. Local results (Google Maps) often move faster. Anyone promising page one in a fortnight is guessing or gaming, and gaming doesn't work anymore.

Is SEO worth it for a small business?

For most local and small businesses, yes. Customers who find you through search cost nothing per lead, and local searches (Maps, 'near me') are usually the fastest wins. The audit is scaled to the size of your site, so smaller businesses pay less.
